Capycal copies events from one calendar into another, every few minutes, and you decide what the copies show. Your colleagues see when you're busy. Your dentist appointment stays between you and your dentist.
It works with any CalDAV server, the calendars in the Mac's Calendar app and .ics feeds. It runs as a menu bar app on the Mac, a tray app on Linux or a single binary on a server, and talks only to your calendars: no account, no cloud service in between. Free software under the GPL.

Every product starts with a clear idea of what it's for. That keeps it small, easy to use and easy to maintain, and for a one-person studio it's the only way this works. New features have to earn their place.
Below 100 milliseconds a click feels instant. Past a second you notice the wait, and past ten you've moved on to something else. So I aim for under 100. Things should look good too, just never at the cost of that number.
Whatever needs a server sits on European servers that I look after, and it's built to comply with the GDPR. Whatever can run on your own machine does. A tool that quietly depends on a handful of platforms somewhere else isn't really mine, and it isn't really yours either. And I'd rather not know more about you than I need to.
